Momma Bear’s Wings ‘N’ Tings came to life through Dennis ‘Bear’ Brown’s desire to create something in lasting memory of his Mother (name here).
The words from Bob Marley’s hit song is a reminder of his family’s traditions and their approach to the gatherings in the kitchen of his Mom’s house. The kitchen and the food that was prepared in there formed the heart of what his Mom loved about her family coming together.
‘The family gathered, we cooked and we laughed. Our parents taught us to not only cook but to cook with love. Love of food, love of the experience and love of togetherness.’
Since then, Momma Bear’s Wings ‘N’ Tings has grown into a successful street food vendor and, with the help of Dennis’ brothers and sisters, his parents’ Jamaican inspired recipes and traditions just keep coming back to be shared with their lucky customers.
